My now-husband and I did something a little bit different with our wedding journey… we got engaged on a Friday and married 48 hours later on Sunday! This wedding was about the two of us and our reasons for wanting to be together forever and you only get one wedding day to celebrate your love, the way you want. There are no rules.

So, with a whirlwind of planning to do, I knew that there was only one photographer and videographer I wanted to capture our day: Jacob from Film Focus Productions. I also knew however that we would have little luck in securing him at such short notice…. However, with just 24 hours’ notice and no time for us to even provide a creative brief, Jacob stepped in wholeheartedly, ready to be a part of the most important day of our lives.  

Our wedding day was perfect, and Jacob was by our side for every moment of it, capturing magical moments that we weren’t even aware were happening, as we wandered through the incredible day in a loved-up haze! Jacob has a kind and calming presence, which is exactly what every Bride needs on the most exciting (and nerve-wracking!) day of her life. He works quietly and calmly, guiding us with his creativity and professionalism. Everything felt so natural with our photo shoots, it was effortless. There was no rigidity or awkwardness, it didn’t feel staged or scripted… Jacob allowed us to be unapologetically us and it was actually just genuinely really fun! We had no detailed timeline for pictures so instead he just allowed our moments to unfold naturally, but he was also able to provide direction to ensure we caught every special unique moment that we may not have thought of. He recognised the things that made the day inherently ours and was capturing that magic with every click of his camera. 

When we received our Wedding Album and Video from Jake, we were absolutely overwhelmed with emotions. Every single photo was the perfect reflection of the core elements of our wedding day, love, family and joy. His editing techniques are of the highest quality and since sharing our wedding photos, we have had many comments such as ‘these photos look like they have been taken from a wedding fashion magazine!’

 We cannot recommend Jacob and Film Focus Productions more highly to engage as your wedding or event photographer and videographer. He was an absolute joy to have by our side as we said, ‘I do’. Our wedding day flew by, but our wedding photos and video are our memories of the day that will last forever. Jacob managed to capture every real moment, every meaningful and intimate moment, with every powerful image full of emotions. Jacob’s work was ultimately the perfect reflection of who we are as a couple, which is exactly what every Bride and Groom could need and want from their photographer on their wedding day.
